Laitlum Canyon- Laitlum translates to ‘end of hills’ and all one can see are breathtaking gorges and steep winding stairways that snake their way down to the lush valley. Unending as far your eyes take you, the great Canyon seems to be a canvas of colours- earthy browns and multiple shades of greens to blushing reds at dawn and dusk. Laitlum is a trekker’s paradise. The terrain is a bit tricky to navigate but offers some of the best views in the world. Narrow and uneven rocky paths lead to several small slate-roofed houses perched at great heights of the canyon, each with its very own picture perfect view. The residents farm on the edges of these mist-shrouded cliffs that plunge sharply into the valley below.

Cherrapunji- Seven Sister Falls also known as Kshaid Nohsngithiang or Mawsmai Falls, located 1 kilometre south of Mawsmai village in East Khasi Hills district, Meghalaya. 'Kshaid' means Falls in local language. The falls plunges over the top of limestone cliffs of the Hills during the rainy season. The waterfalls get illuminated by the sun and the vibrant colors of the setting sun on the waterfalls makes it beautiful. Cherrapunjee(Sohra) is renowned for 2nd wettest place of earth, after Mawsynram which also situated in Meghalaya. Detailed Itinerary- 7 Nights & 8 Days Assam Meghalaya Tour

​​Day 1 : Arrival at Guwahati Station/Airport morning and transfer to Shillong. Enroute tea and snacks break at Ri Bhoi districts main city Nongpoh. Then stop at Barapani Lake (Umiam Lake). Checked in afternoon at Hotel. Evening leisure for market roaming by own. Overnight stay at Shillong.


Day 2 : After Morning breakfast proceed for full day Cherrapunjee Trip to enjoy Waterfalls, Cave and nature with rain and cloud. Cherrapunjee is the second wettest place of earth after Mawsynram which is also in Meghalaya. First visit Elephanta Falls, Shillong Peak, Mawkdok Valley View on the way. Also one can experience Zip lining here. Next proceed to Cherrapunjee for seeing Arwah Cave, Noh Kalikai Falls, Eco Park, Mawsmai Cave, Seven Sister Falls, Thangkharang Park and Kynrem Falls. Evening back to Shillong and overnight stay at Shillong.


Day 3 : After Morning breakfast full day trip for Mawlynnong , Single Root Bridge and Dawki. First will proceed to Dawki and Tamabil Border which is Indo Bangladesh Border and it is a active border to connect Bangladesh. After visiting come proceed to Mawlynnong and visit Single Root Bridge in Riwai Village. Next proceed to Mawlynnong Village which is cleanest village of Asia. Evening back to Shillong.


Day 4 : After Morning breakfast day excurtion for sightseeing and trekking at the Laitlum Grand Canyon which is also famous as Laitlum Valley and offers 190 degree breathtaking valley views with clouds. Late afternoon back to Shillong and evening free for shopping and roam in market of Police Bazar.

Day 5 : Early Morning after breakfast transfer to Kaziranga National Park Forest. On the way Tea and Lunch break. Afternoon reached Kaziranga and checked in Hotel. If time permits (if you reach before 2PM you can do Jeep Safari for one range). Evening leisure and relax. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.

Day 6 : Early Morning around 5AM Elephant Safari. After Safari return to hotel for Breakfast. After finishing breakfast do Jeep Safari(Range choice subject to guest choice and availibility). Afternoon after lunch transfer to Guwahati. Checked in Hotel at evening. Relax and overnight stay at Guwahati.

Day 7 : Early Morning around 5AM Kamakhaya Temple Darshan and Puja. Return to Hotel for Breakfast. Rest of the day for local sightseeing of Guwahati covering Umananda Temple, Shakardev Kalakhetra, Basistha Ashram & Guwahati Zoo. Evening roam in Market places. (Note: Tourists can take Optional Sunset Cruise or Dinner Cruise in the majestic Bhramaputra River).

Day 8 : Relax morning and after breakfast transfer to Airport or Station for return journey. With that you end your Assam Meghalaya Tour.

Mawlynnong & Dawki- Dawki is famous for Umgot River passing through the village. The water of the river is absolutely crystal clear and one can easily see the the river bed. Dawki is around 95 KM and from capital city Shillong. Dawki border crossing is on Dawki-Tamabil is one of the few road border crossings between India and Bangladesh is also a attraction for tourist. But compared to Dawkie this place is calm, quite and more enjoyable for tourists. From the suspension bridge one can get a clear view of under water. Here many types of activities can be done like Boating, Kayaking, Snorkelling, Zip lining, camping, fishing etc. While returning from Dwaki you visit Mawlynnong, known as as the cleanest in Asia. Smoking and use of polythene is banned while rainwater harvesting is encouraged.
